Visit Rincon de la Vieja National Park in Costa Rica on this ecological adventure daytrip from Guanacaste. Home to of the most active volcano, over thirty rivers and streams, various eco-systems, and an abundance of local flora, fauna, and wildlife, this tropical landscape remains one of the most important conservation areas in Central America.
During your day trip to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, you’ll embark on a two-hour hike through dry forests and primary forests with your local naturist guide. You’ll encounter ponds of sulfur water, pools of boiling mud, and steaming fumaroles along the way, and you could even witness some volcanic activity as you traverse this unique and ever-changing environment.
When it comes to wildlife, plant life and bird species hiking in Rincon de la Vieja doesn’t disappoint. It homes white-nosed coati, agoutis, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, and exotic butterflies but to name a few.
After your educational hike in Costa Rica, you’ll head to the Oropendola Waterfall in Guanacaste for a refreshing swim (subject to weather conditions) in the mountain waters that fall from these tropical cascades.
